At The Social Deck, we are highly focused on bringing the lenses of inclusion and accessibility to everything we do. We are committed to taking action to be an inclusive and accessible business in policy and in practice.
We recognise our role in providing services that are accessible to and supportive of people from diverse backgrounds, and we commit to inclusive engagement and outreach. The Social Deck team is highly experienced in designing accessible and inclusive engagement events and communication, to make sure that everyone can have meaningful input.
Our products and communications aim to represent diversity and we work with a diverse range of suppliers that are First Nations, CALD, disability-led or are social enterprises when we are delivering engagement and consultations with diverse communities. This includes partnerships with individuals and organisations representing relevant lived experience for engagement planning and facilitation, leading to dual outcomes, i.e. fostering greater trust with communities with lived experience, and supporting businesses that are having a positive impact through employment and their own mission.
The Social Deck is proud to have an Inclusion Strategy for our own workplace. Our recruitment practices encourage and actively seek candidates from diverse backgrounds, including people with disability, First Nations peoples and people from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds and our employment conditions take into account reasonable accommodations and inclusion. We are committed to ongoing development and improvement of our team’s skills and capabilities, and promoting and supporting inclusive practice externally to clients and in the community.
